Install CAT and/or DAX w/o SSDR?

Is there a way to install DAX and/or CAT without installing SSDR? I'm thinking of using a separate PC for digital modes with either a Maestro or separate PC for controlling the Flex.

Also the reverse? Can you install SSDR w/o DAX and CAT? I did see an older reply from Tim about how to remove them after an install. Does this procedure still work with the recent 1.6 changes?

Q1: No
Q2:  Yes.  Just un-check the DAX and CAT options when you Install SmartSDR.
Q3: Yes, removing the DAX and CAT shortcuts in the Startup folder will prevent them from auto starting when your PC boots.

Tim,

Thanks for the reply. In your other post on removing CAT and DAX, you mentioned something about removing drivers that are still loaded, even though CAT and DAX aren't running. Is that still required?
