Would someone refresh me.
Upon startup, what are the stages of startup and readiness that are represented by the blinking colors of the startup light
I'm pretty sure the blinking yellow means it starting.
But what is the difference between the blinking blue and the steady blue?

I take it you have a GPSDO installed??

 Yellow = GPSDO is initializing
 Flashing Blue = GPSDO is initialized, but has not achieved a satellite lock
 Solid Blue = GPSDO is initialized and locked

 FLASHING YELLOW = GPS in warm up
 SOLID YELLOW = GPS in holdover (lost satellites)
 SHORT FLASH BLUE = GPS locking
 LONG FLASH BLUE = GPS in hold phase mode
 SOLID BLUE = GPS locked

Page 21 of the Hardware reference manual.

SOLID BRIGHT RED: Transmitting on PA
SOLID ORANGE: Transmitting on XVTR port with low power

SOLID DIM RED: Transmit engaged, but transmit interlocks are not ready. Refer to SmartSDR documentation for description of transmit interlocks.

SOLID PURPLE: Radio is performing a software update
SOLID GREEN: Radio is in receive mode
FLASHING RED: Flashing three blinks indicates radio software is not running OFF: Radio turned off, oscillators are off.

Thank you gentleman. Reason I asked, I've had a couple of aborts and I think I was rushing to much and trying to connect while it was still blinking Blue.
When I did it aborted and reset.

Hmmm, I waited a full cycle this time...20 meters JT mode.
WSJT-x was receiving properly.
When I tried to call the CQings station. The rig went to 'Shutting down, went into 3 Red Blinks.

Had no problems working 20 meters the other day in JT65 mode.
Wonder what I'm doing wrong.
As far as I can see, all antennas are ok

Upon reboot, I now have slow blinking yellow which means something wrong with my GPS

Finally proceeded to blinking Blue

3 minutes later and still blinking Blue

Any guesses. When last working, all antennas 6 through 160 were good. whether using the antenna alone or through the AT-Auto

Finally got to Solid Blue, took a solid 4-5 minutes

saw a cq, on 20, called him and made a connection solid connection and qso completed.

I'm getting suspicious of some sort of intermittent in my antenna system?????
what do you guys think???

whats the voltage to the Radio?  Whats the SWR?  Do you have a dummy load to transmit into and if so does it happen then?  What kind of power you running?

I know lots of questions

That is almost a volt low.  It should be 13.8 VDC at the radio connector.

Bill, nothing is wrong with the GPS.  Flashing yellow does not indicate there is a problem with the GPS.  You are just being a little impatient - just let the radio boot up.  Also, you can use the radio before the TCXO is disciplined by the GPS.

It's just that the radio was shutting down even though it 'appeared' to have completed the full start up sequence.
Not always.just enough to make me wonder if I'm doing something wrong
