well my Ham radio career has been an up/down affair for many years.

I recently  posted that I had to sell my station to prepare for some medical stuff within the family.   So I put my 6500 up for sale and it sold in a day.  I had my SPE amp up for sale and got a few offers but nothing clicked.

But then I realized I was enjoying this stuff and while I'd sold my 6500 I decided to hand on tooth and nail and took my amp off market.  After using an icom 7300 for a short time I contacted FRS and I'm awaiting a refurb 6300.

I guess I realized I loved the following:

Writing programs for it

Using it remote over the LAN and soon WAN

While I had the 7300 for a short time I realized I would have to go in front of that radio to use it.  I didn't like that.  I liked running my FRS from my iPad, my phone, even my laptop wherever I was.

So like the Chucky movies:  I'm baaaack!

(sorry for those who found my offensive, I'll try not to be so, but I do want to interact with this group).

Flex radios and the things you can do with them, especially the 6000 series are addictive hihi  I wonder if one day  some of us will need a 12 step program - just kidding.
