I would like to take a moment to thank Gerald Youngblood and his crew at Flex.

I placed an order for A Flex 6600M and Maestro in Sept. of 2017. I then subscribed to this reflector to learn as much as I could while waiting for my order. Finally, in March of 2018 the order was paid for and I received my 6600M last week. The big brown truck arrived at the door and it was like Xmas came late. Had to open the box right away. Since I operate totally remote I had to resort to a antenna I had in the attic to try out the radio. Applied the power and antenna and fired it up. It booted up just fine. Started out listening on 40 meters. Wow!, it a beautiful radio. Had to see if it would transmit. NO POWER OUTPUT. I checked every setting over and over again. I just knew I had a setting wrong somewhere. So after two days I realized I was going to have to ask for help. So, after six months of reading I had to go to the help desk and initiate a help ticket. Within an hour or so I got a response from Dudley at Flex. Dudley was easy to talk to and I explained the problem to him. He indicated he was currently working with another customer and would my call when finished. He called back a short time later and I spent the time going over all the settings and still no power out. He indicated he was going to elevate the  issue to the highest level. The following morning I was notified a new radio was on its way. Took only two days and it was on my doorstep with a mailing label to return the defective radio. I thought that really demonstrated how much Flex thought to ship the new radio first and ask for the defective one back afterwards. Set the second radio up and fired it up right away. Came to same situation of no power out. Gave Dudley a call right away and we went through the settings again. This time, in the rush of the moment that I had inserted the mic cable in the wrong place. Got it in the right connector and now life is good.

Gerald you have a great staff. Everyone I interacted with were great to work with and Dudley is the best. Thanks for the help and I am looking forward to enjoying the radio. Hope to see you at Dayton.

That's super service!   Just curious, was the mic hooked up to the right place on the first radio?
