How to do PTT when in remote

This has Ben hashed in the past. I know you can click the MOX with mouse then the space bar will key it because of the memory effect. I also realize box will work but as we near version 2.0 I look forward to using my 6500 in the Mobil via remote. In this case I would like a PTT button . Has anyone got something working? I have a PIPO x8 working remote so this looks like a option.

Determine if your Windows tablet is wired to accept a cellular MIC, ear bud combination with a button and a four conductor, 1/8" connector.

If it is, there is a free Windows software piece called AutoHotKey which, if I remember correctly, will intercept that button's code & produce a space bar which SSDR can interpret as PTT.

It's been a while since I tried this so my memory is a bit vague & therefore suspect. More recently I used AutoHotKey to intercept the volume up/down rocker & redirect those two codes to the mouse wheel up, down function for tuning SSDR. This works well.

My Windows tablet is a Lenovo Thinkpad 8.
