The Maestro and SSDR desktop are independent applications. No method exists to sync them.

FRStack is an existing method.

Frstack has a feature to sync both clients. Slice A to slice A and so on.

I thought that was one of the selling points of Ver 3? I could tune with the Maestro knob, and watch the spectrum on the desktop window?

V3.0 doesn’t include that feature nor was it ever promised for v3.0.

So you are mistaken.

It has been discussed and was part of FRS recent survey for v3.x future enhancements.

If it will, timeline and in which point number of 3.x are outstanding questions? But from some public comments and the inclusion in the survey it is a serious contender for a future enhancement.

Did you solve it using FRstack? If you found another way doing it, any info would be appreciated.

FRStack will do this easily.

In FRStack      Radios > View/Sync All Client Slices          When this new window opens select "Sync Client Slices".

Steps
1.) Bring up Slice A in SmartSDR
2.) Set SmartSDR to Slice A with Maestro Off
3.) Start up FRSstack
4.) Then Turn On Maestro

You should see both Active slices
One is from SmartSDR and the other From
Maestro ( Both tied to Ethernet HUB )

I chose say 40 meters CW frequencies
7.040 for one and 7.045 for the other

Then I went Back to FRSstack in the Menu

From Menu Radio’s >Sync Clients ‘ A, B slices as Active Slices you will see both the Maestro and SmartSDR

With tab on MR U Band you will set some Orange VFO
Frequencies

Once you Click the VFO on the Maestro controls
The VFO on the SmartSDR Slice A and vice versa

This way you can Tune the VFO on the Maestro
And watch SDR follow the same Frequency or
Click on SmartSDR VFO Slice A for a Frequency
And watch the Maestro follow

Really Neat, will use it for Field Day
Kind of Like a Big Flex Knob on the
Maestro to Control SmartSDR

Usually in Field Day , If I have someone
Help with logging, I can listen on Maestro
While the Logging Operator have SmartSDR
on the PC to watch

Also gives the logging assistant operator
His own Pan Adapter that being SmartSDR
And we both hear and SEE the same thing

The Main Operator can concentrate on finding
Signals via the Waterfall but gives the Assistant
Logger a nice Spectrum Scope and WaterFall to
watch as well

Not quite the MultiFlex way but more of a Share
Way for both Main and Assistant to enjoy the
Full experience of the Radio !

If the Assistant Operator wants to Take over
Or Rotating Operators or Rotating Assistants it easy
To do with not much pain in ergonomics

If the Assistant got the Call but Main Operator
Missed it, the Assistant Operator can jump in !

Bring Field Day Contest to a Fun Level !

You can have two CW Paddles and whoever
Get the call first can jump in for Fun and both
Operator and Assistant have separate keyboards
And Mouses on that Big Screen for that WOW factor !

Anyway we will see how it pans out for Field Day
