Try leaving your Maestro plugged in with its wall wort supply for about 30 minutes, then try turning it on.

When running off of USB power, does it charge the internal battery?

Yes, the same thing happened to me. I must have accidentally left tha Maestro switched on and flattened the internal battery. Plugging in the mains supply for a little while sorted things out

Good to read you got it working. The fix is a good tip to know.
I had a Field Day scare myself, After hiking 20 minutes in 95F heat and setting up for 20 more minutes, I thought I'd forgotten the adapter cable to go from a Heil hand mike to the RJ 45 for the Maestro. Luckily I found it in back pack.
