I'm running Flex 6400 with a Heil HM-12. I get reports of lots of lows on the audio.. I have the EQ set for 63-125-250-500 to -10dB and 1k-2k-4k-8k set to +10dB.. It's better but still seams to have a lot of lows. Am I missing something or can it just be the microphone?

Hi Ken,
I have mine set IAW page 90, SmartSDR Software Users Manual, v2.1.32, with the Inrad M629. This works well with the Yaesu MD-200 and the Flex hand mic also.
Remember the fundamental is 85-180 Hz (adult male). This is where most of the input energy will be. You may want to try a more gradual drop off instead of the off-the-cliff method. If you're still getting lows, you may want to slide the slope to the left even further. But yeah - I'm sure all mics have their own idiosyncrasies.
Good Luck !
