GPS on 6700 How or why is the GPS headings, grid square etc... on v0.15.13 not indicating when starting the software. I have the GPS and I tried to start it, However, it doesn't (gray out). The radio GUI shows the blue light on and my grid square. Or is that not implemented yet?

you can see the other GPS information if you click the setup tab on the radio GUI itself. The gridsquare and all other info should show if you are showing the blue light and grid square indicator at the bottom right of the Panadapter screen

As noted in the release statement, you may need to re-enable the GPS in the Radio Setup->GPS tab after the upgrade.

Tim... I tried that and it does not let me re-enable it ... it is grayed out. I also deleted v0.15.13 twice and the same thing happens...grayed out, although the GPS seems to be working.

Larry... That is the problem. Maybe I did not made it clear. I have the GPS and the light is blue. When the radio is operational the right lower corner (panadapter) indicates that it is on and so is the radio LED.

Make sure that you connect to the radio first, then click the install button.

I don't give up easily ... I tried another way to see if I could defeat the issue. Sure enough! Since I was not able to install the GPS; I re-installed v0.15 and I deleted the GPS installation this time before I open the radio, turned the radio off and opened a new v0.15. turn the radio back on and this time GPS installation GUI was available. And it worked. Problem solved! What was the issue; I don't know but it is working.

Really simple, I mentioned that I re-installed SmartSDR v0.15 and deleted all previous install of that version and the old v0.13. After that was done the new version gave me the opportunity to delete it the GPS and re-install it.

Well........ really not so simple. I have done everything that you suggested. I also went back to v0.13 and turned off the GPSO [Blue operational note went away]. Blew away any V0.15 down loads and again downloaded a new v0.15. The two GPSO boxes are still grayed out, none of the info is listed, but the little blue box on the spectrum screen displays the proper grid square. Already spent several hours on this.......wonderful

Ken, You describe exactly what I experienced. Try this ... get the F6.7K going and working. Then go to the Radio Setup (on the radio GUI) -> GPS -> and click on INSTALL (should not be grayed out.) That should now have your GPS working. You already done what I did to get to this point. It should work! please let me know ... 73

Thanks to W4EG, Ernest, who made the time in his busy schedule to call me on the phone and walk me through the "Radio Settings" tab, I am now the proud owner of a working and reporting GPS System. Thanks Ernest! 73, Ken K7YR
