Global profiles not selecting the right data I save

I have been experiencing a problem with my global profiles I have saved. If I click on a profile the first time no flag appears . The second time I click on the same profile the flag comes up but it is the wrong frequency. The third time I click on the same profile it works fine.  Has anyone else had this trouble? It always works on the third cycle. It works sometimes but most of the time I have to click three times to get the right frequency and saved data.

Thanks Mike Miller N6IQY

Band persistence is not related to profiles.  If you have inadvertently "trained' the band persistence for 40m where is not doing or tuning to a frequency in the 40m band, you need to reset your band persistence in the radio's database by doing this:

One possible way is to use the band button to change to a band and then either the operator or a program connected to the radio does a direct frequency tuning to a frequency outside of the band.  So the the band "construct" in the persistence database believes that frequency should be in that particular band.  This is due to the different ways the radio operates when the band button is pressed (all slice resources are destroyed, the pandapter is tuned and if there is band persistence, slices are created from that, otherwise a slice is created in that band)  and direct tuning (the panadapter is tuned to the center frequency is the slice frequency and then the slice is "moved" to that frequency, bypassing any band persistence).  The later is how a CAT commands tunes a slice so that the slice settings are not changed by band persistence.

Did a band persistence reset still have to hit the profiles 3 times to get where it is set to. always works on the 3 time. Any other ideas

    Hi Mike,

Have you tried loading the profile with nothing else that issues CAT commands running on the PC?  (or auto-loaded when Windows boots? i.e. DDUtil, WSJT-X, FrStack, spotting and logging  programs, etc.)

Yes I have I turn off DAX and CAT and then start Smart SDR using profiles for phone  or CW , the first time there is no slice flag the second time the slice flag is on the wrong frequency and the third click every thing works. I erased the profiles and did new ones after after the reset mentioned above. I have learned to live with it not that big of a deal , but would be nice to have it work correctly -- Love the radio 6400 , it would be real hard to go back to a standard radio..
