getting the rig up and running

My radio won't come up until run the smart sdr program and then restart the radio. the first time up it does not connect with the antenna and some of the software, but the second time it works fine. does anyone else have the problem and how do I fix it??? 'cal white WF5W

    Cal, describe the color/blinking of the lights on the radio when you've started SmartSDR? Just a note, the 6000 has quite a capable computer (actually multiple) inside that needs to be loaded each time it starts. Unlike a "knob" radio it isn't an instant on.
