hi frank

your best path to a solution is to ask on the wsjtx.io group

I think before blasting over to the WSJTX group I would ask a few questions:

1) when you say it will not UPLOAD do you mean it will not transmit?

2) If you mean it will not transmit do you see your Flex Radio go into transmit mode or not.  Look at the bottom right of the main pan window.  You should see TX ready.  Does it turn RED when trying to transmit?

2A) If the TX does not turn red then you don't have PTT setup correctly coming from WSJTX to Flex through the SmartCat.  The best way is to use TCP.  I will have to search for a post showing how it is done but there is one here on the forum.

3) If the TX turns read are you not seeing any power output on SSDR?

4) If you are not seeing power output then it is likely you do not have DAX transmit enabled.  You must enable DAX TX in the DAX control panel AND the DAX button must be enabled in the radio control panel along the right where all the other radio controls are.

If all of these are good meaning you are seeing everything work, power, etc.  Then I think we need further information on what you mean by "UPLOAD"?

Timing is very critical with FT8 and JT modes.  You need to have your PC clock very closely synced.  You cannot rely on Windows network time update alone.

The lack of Time Sync has been a primary issue in people that cannot decode and cannot make a contact.

Search for Meinberg and install the NTP meinberg client and let it sync your clock if you are not already doing so.

Between us and the WSJT group we'll figure it out.
