Using a 6700 and the 1.8.0 ver. of WSJT.....Wide Graph shows a screen full of very strong signals and the Band Activity decodes them all BUT the monitor graph is always in the red....about 9-10 db... no matter where I slide the RX Gain on the DAX panel it does not change the monitor which sys it should be 30db and mine never gets out of the red

    Hello,
The "Intensity" of the waterfall is set by clicking on the "Display" in the upper left (Not DAX).
By sliding the "gain" you will change the waterfall "color"
"Rate" is how fast the waterfall moves
"AVE" is how sensitive ("bouncy") the signal trace is
Another one that is helpful is under "ANT" - You can change the RF Gain

    enjoy!

Charley is spot on. Set your level first so its running he correct level. I run my about 70 to 80% if possible.

Then the waterfall "look" is controlled as Charley said. Its a little twitchy but once you get it set to your liking you are pretty much done.
