Frequency on CW Skimmer does not match radio - I'm new to Flex radio

The frequency on CW Skimmer does not match radio. 48 hrs ago I received my first Flex radio. A Flex-6500. So to say I am new to Flex is an understatement. My problem is that the CW Skimmer  frequency does not match my radio. dxatlas.com says that I need to check my CAT settings for this.Maybe I am just burned out from trying to get everything up and running right away but could use a little help

Fred , you need an app from QRV.com named SDR-Bridge. Download it and install. This app will make CW Skimmer work very well with SSDR. NN4Z wrote a nice setup PDF just for this, look him up the website. Good Luck

Thank you for the reply Bob. I already have SDR-Bridge installed. Everything on the skimmer is working except the frequency on the skimmer is on 117.65 and does not follow the radio and  if I click a call it takes my radio to frequency 117.65, So it is communicating with the radio but I do not know what CAT setting " according to dxatlas " I have to change to make the skimmer read the same frequency.

    Hi Fred,

SDR Bridge takes care of what is needed via CAT at least in my setup.  There is a problem with rounding of frequency between the Flex and CW Skimmer.

While CW Skimmer is an amazing app I OFTEN have issues with the pan and sync to CW Skimmer.  In order to get my "frequency" point in Skimmer to be on screen I have to have that slice pretty close to the far left of my pan.  If I move the slice to the middle my frequency point disappears off the skimmer screen.

This is possibly due to Skimmer working on a larger frequency range than I can display.  Regardless of the cause it makes for a love/hate relationship of skimmer.   It is sad that it is pretty much abandoned.  There is talk the author is working on something new so we have hope it will be better but like most Ham Projects these things take time.

I'm sure my post was less than helpful but more an acknowledgement of the issues.

Hi Fred,  You do not need any CAT settings with SDR-Bridge but you do need to set up the IQ channel and enable it . As Bob said.  NN4ZZ has a nice tutorial ,just upddated recently, that will cure your Skimmer setup problems at least!
