Forced downgrade then upgrade

I just cranked up my 6500 and was greeted with an update that when clicked on was a downgrade to 1.5.1.70 then I cycled SDR and it then updated to 1.6.17.74.  Anyone else have this happen?

Are you sure you clicked the right SSDR icon?  If you have an earlier and later SSDR icon on your desktop and click the version not loaded in the radio it will force a down or upgrade

This indicates that you still had 1.5.1 installed on that PC, and that you likely clicked the wrong shortcut to start SmartSDR. It might help you to find and delete any shortcuts to the earlier releases.

I had that happen when I inadverntely left the 1.5 icon on the desktop and clicked the wrong one. I would bet you did approximately the same thing.

That would make sense except I only have one SDR icon in the folder I keep all my Ham programs in and there isn't another SDR icon anywhere on the desktop and it was 1.6....  Besides, it was a firmware downgrade/upgrade, not SDR.

Something, somewhere, in your system told the Flex it was running 1.5.

Is 1.5 still loaded in your computer even though you don't have it displayed on an icon?

The latest firmware is also a part of the latest smart sdr. I have yet to see a firmware only type of patch to come out. So if you downgrade smart sdr, you also downgrade the firmware and so on.
