First, thanks to all who helped with my problem of the amplifier not keying when DDUtil was running. The problem is not totally solved yet but we are getting close. In the meantime I accidentally found a temporary fix. Until now I had been running DDUtil without AutoDrive enable. By enabling AutoDrive the problem went away. Neal, K3NC, will be reporting this to the authors of both DDUtil and SmartSDR so presumably a fix will be forthcoming.  In the meantime, I could not be more pleased with both programs. Running a Flex 6300 and an Alpha 9500. What a great combo! With AutoDrive enabled, it's jujst like having a 1500 watt transceiver. I've been a ham since 1957 and believe me, ham radio has come a long way.

It works that way with the Elecraft KPA500 too - just minus 1,000 watts.  :)
