As FRS doesn't release order quantities nor production lot sizes/timing the Supply vs Demand speculation is conjecture.
If FRS really called someone to tell them they stopped shipping a product I am certain they will speak to the community as well. I'm guessing that the actually call, trusting it happened, would be more a timing issue.
When my PGXL was made 4o3a released a picture of that shipment palletized being picked up by UPS. Well UPS Freight had a major snafu with one of their eastern European air freight partners and it didn't get to my station for along time.
I had the same with an SP7IDX Hexbeam that left Poland and apparently went on a horse-drawn wagon to the port and then by tramp freighter for the next ninety plus days.
I really like my PGXL and have been getting great reports.
Fortunately the patience we've all had in getting a PGXL for our station is well rewarded with "an amp for the impatient" once on the air!
Again shipments of product is still ramping up and may be subject to ebbs-&-flows, but the product is performing solid in my shack.

As you are aware we began shipping the amps in May, and have been slowly rolling out production units after each one completes a rigorous and extensive test/burn in process.
Last month, as more users began exercising the 6-meter (6M) band in the exciting new FT8 mode, units began showing stress in a way not previously experienced. As a result, an issue in the post-amplifier 6M filter was identified. Our engineering team has already identified root cause and incorporated changes into the design to resolve the stress issues with the amp.
Unfortunately, this has further delayed our delivery plan, and at this time we expect to resume shipments in approximately 8 - 10 weeks.
For those individuals who have already received a PGXL we will be rotating each unit through our facility over the the next 6 weeks to address this issue. You will be receiving a more detailed communication in the next few days.
The cost of this process will be completely covered by FlexRadio and the start date of the 2-year warranty period will be reset to the begin when unit is returned following the update, In the meantime, we recommend not running the amp above 500 watts on 6 Meters.
Thank you again to all of the faithful Flexers! If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact me at matt@flexradio.com any time.
Best regards,

Thank you to all of our loyal FlexRadio customers (Flexers) who have been so patiently waiting for the Power Genius XL (PGXL) amplifiers to arrive.

But it is also why I chose to wait on the PGXL and get a tried and true SPE product for now. Certainly not as nice I don't think as the PGXL but I have it now and it's rock solid.
When the PGXL is debugged and sales are caught up I will consider a switch.
Not posting this to sway ANYONE away from PGXL... It is just how I approached the problem.

FT8 IS A WEAK SIGNAL MODE NOT A LOW POWER MODE
You may need to run power to work weak ones. But when running power you need to be careful not to overdrive your signal as that make the reception of your signal worse.

The BA amp group has a nice solid state amp you can buy a kit for at a fraction the cost of the PGXL:

Lack of support is why I don't buy a certain brand of car anymore. A known design defect was not covered by an extended a warranty for repairs (60,000 mile power train warranty with defect manifesting at 63,000 miles). Flex has my business locked in and has solidified my opinion by their commitment to very high product quality and commitment to meet their obligations.
Well done, Flex Radio Systems.

Thank you so much for your kind words. We LOVE hearing this sort of feedback as we pour a lot of ourselves into the work that we do.
The greatest reward is to hear that our efforts positively impact others as we truly exist to enrich lives. We hope to accomplish this even in times when we have to share bad news.
Thank you again!

I speak, of course as a native Texan! While I live in Mobile, Alabama, a part of my heart wil always be in Texas. My long-suffering family does not understand. But they put up with it! HI HI.
