The Flex control quick start guide information does not match upto the SDR Settings Flex Control.  Confused about programming possibilities.  I have basic Aux buttons programmed but the lights on Mode, On/Off, and Toggle mean what?

I'm confused as well.
What do Mode, On/Off, and Toggle mean???

I believe they are only implemented id PowerSDR per the FlexControl guide for PowerSDR:

The lights on the FlexControl indicate the status of the knob and which of the possible states it is in. These lights correspond to the blue outline around the active setting in the FlexControl Settings panel. The lights are labeled from left to right, “Mode”, “On/Off”, and “Toggle”.

"Mode" indicates whether the upper row (light on) or lower row (light off) is selected in the knob settings.

"On/Off" indicates the left column (light on) or center column (light off) is selected in the knob settings.

"Toggle" indicates the state of the function toggled with the Double Click of the knob center button.

They apparently have no function in SSDR.

Hi Richard and Geoff
I don't see any function for the  Mode, On/Off, and Toggle  LEDs either.  I use 2 FlexControls and  taped over the LEDs with labels showing the button functions I use.  Also labels for the knob settings as well as for the com ports.

They really need to design a new Flex Control with enhanced functionality, support multiple existing Flex Controls, or publish a specification so savvy users can roll their own.

Here is the idea for SSDR to support 2 FlexControls. It was suggested 2 years ago. You can add a vote and comment if you would like to see it implemented.

Some of the FlexControl instructions were created for the rigs running PowerSDR (1500, 3000, 5000) and include commands for single click, double click, and long-press of the AUX Buttons and large knob, as well as other things.

WIth the 6000 series, the command set is much simpler and most can be intuitively gleaned from the Radio Setup>FlexControl tab in SSDR.

Each AUX button can be assigned a function.  Some will turn on with a single click (XIT,RIT) and allow the Large knob to adjust them.  They then clear with a double click, but you need to press the large knob to return to main tuning.

Others are simple functions like MOX, Slice Select, etc.

Still others, like AGC-T adjust, become active with a single press, and then return VFO Tuning with a press of the large knob.

Once you play around with them, you can figure them out.

I wouldn't be without the FlexControl!

Thanks for your thoughts.  I just got confused with the documented instructions v.s. the setup in SDR.  Will be trying all this weekend.
