flex 6500 timeout

Ugggh.  I fired up my 6500 for the VHF contest just now from my rare grid.  It seemed fine and the Maestro saw it but needed to update the 6500.  Now the 6500 times out and will not boot.  Only 2nd time I have used it as it is my back up to my 6700.  Any help out there?  Quiet at EN48.

Hold the power and ok buttons in at the same time to do a factory reset.
