Flex 6400 footprint

The Flex 6400 has a pretty big footprint.  Can it be installed on its side with a bit of space below it for airflow?

There is a vent approximately 1inch wide right behind front panel on both sides and underneath radio. As long as you allow adequate space below the side which will be on the bottom I do not think it will be an issue. The large fan inside will still be in the same orientation so it will not produce any additional force on the fan bearings.. If possible leave 3inch gap on bottom side for airflow. Dave wo2x

I would have at least 1.5" clearance on the bottom if you orient the radio on it's side
