Flex 3000 trips switchmode psu but not analogue psu

Why does flex 3000 trip certain power supplies by just connecting dc cable.

Some power supplies do not have the negative connected to chassis ground, the 3000 has the negative side connected to chassis ground. 73, Dudley

Hi Dudley, so I guess the switched mode psu that only trips with the 3000 has a floating output. BTW it is fine with all my other kit.

Does it trip when you power the 3000 on?

Hi Dudley No it trips as soon as it is connected to the dc cable. Was thinking back emf from a relay but its before switching on. Radio works fine on the old manson psu so its no big problem, just curious. Will meter it up and try the switched mode again. I do appreciate your interest in my issue.
