It is GREAT software, integrates easily with the Flex signature series, and you can network multiple stations via hardwired LAN. You CANNOT network via a wireless LAN. Any glitches will cause the network to crash, per the software author. Plus, it's relatively inexpensive. I think SmartSDR has native support for the software, if I am not mistaken.

Hi Pheeeleep,

How did your flex perform in the multiple rf txmitter environment ? Also it appears that more than one op was using your rig. If they were new to flex, how did they like the rig ?

Thanks,
mike

Folks tended to be amazed by it. A lot had zero exposure to the new technology.

It didn't do too bad. I was in extremely close proximity to other transmitters. The 6300 does not have front end filters. I was able to run CW adjacent to our PSK31 station on the same band (20m). Ran 220 CW contacts. With the display its like shooting fish in a barrel.

Here is my XYL with Maestro and the 6500 (on the picnic bench partially visible). The Maestro and 6500 performed flawlessly. Antenna was a LNR quad EHFW resonant on 40-20-15-10. Higher bands were not so good however. Hiking 20 minutes uphill with a 40# of radio in 90F heat was almost worth it.

Regards All,

That's for sure.

BTW your club / team had a big FD setup. Impressive.
On the way out to the FD site we stopped in at a local clubs FD site with a huge setup - tribander on a 40'  and various wire antennas etc.
