FHM-2 developed hum with PTT

I have had the 6600 with FHM-2 for a week.  Yesterday a hum appeared using the FHM-2.  This hum shows up on the spectral display, is proportional with RF output level setting, but doesn't seem to generate RF.  I haven't asked for an audio report.  These observations are with a dummy load.  Other mics do not do this.  Anyone else see this?

If nothing has changed in your shack, sounds like a mic switch problem. check for proper connection.

    Spencer,
I had the same issue recently with the new FHM-2 that came with my new 6400. Using the same cable on the mic I was able to switch heads (the Yaesu mic that came with mt FTdx5000 is the same, just a different label)
The hum or buzz went away with the Yaesu head. Neal Campbell the new tech support fellow was most helpful. FLEX service is outstanding. BTW other mics did not show a buzz (Heil 781 and an INRAD 629). I believe the issue has been reported before.

I have a can of Color TV tuner cleaner.  That got rid of the hum so I'm confident that it was the switch on the mic.  Thank you for the suggestions.
