See screen shot but in upper right corner of panadapter is an indicator that I do not understand. Not sure how it came on but I can only turn it off depending where I tune in the spectrum.  What is "PRE"?

You have the preamp selected for that antenna/band. Check your ANT menu. Theres a slider there to turn on/off. Memory saves the setting.

You are correct. I cannot believe all there is to remember in this program.

Thank you very much and 73.

Yea, it's pretty intensive. Lot's of new "muscle memory" needed. Very different from my K3. I just love mine. I've had it for just over a month and it still teaches me things. Have fun exploring! 73

People take in data differently.  Some learn best in an auditory or verbal manner.  Others learn visually, but even then a portion of that visual group may learn from a direct question/answer format, while the remainder learn best from reading the manual cover to cover.  What ever floats your boat!
Be patient with the new folks.  Your way of learning might not be the way that they learn best.

Thanks to all for the help. Lee, I have been a slow learner all my life so it takes me a few extra reads to commit to memory but I am working on it.

Happy Thanksgiving to all.
