Erroneous SWR on ANT2

I am getting erroneous SWR on ANT on my 6600m these are as high as >3 and the antenna tuner not being able to tune a 50ohm verified dummy load.  I have conducted testing, and the only remedy is a hard reset of the radio(long press power on with white power light), which then lasts for hours to days.  First let me say that I have verified the antennas and loads used in testing are good using an antenna analyzer and in direct comparison to SWR readings on ANT1 which is accurate.  Has anyone experienced anything like this before?  FYI test criteria: firmware 2.2.8.109 and 2.1.33.106.

Hi Lin.. so are you saying you CAN get a match on ANT1 but not on ANT2?  If that's the case, I suspect there may be a hardware fault (which the reset is only masking) and I would open a trouble ticket.

Yes it seems to only impact ANT2.  I will wait for Tim to respond in case there is some work around that I am not aware of then open a ticket.

I have seen a similar behavior with my 6600. My confusion is with the function and interaction of the antenna tuner button, mem button and the tune button.

My behavior isn’t related to antenna 2 as I remember. I put on ant button, mem button off and tune button adjust SWR down to 1.2:1. If mem button and ant button pushed SWR is 3:1 not above or below exactly 3.

I have to study manual to figure the proper procedure I guess. It is curious.

Maybe your posting will clear up the antenna tuner function. My SWR meter is showing less than 2:1 during this time. I thought the memory was pulling the wrong data from persistence. Thanks for raising this question.

Yes I did have some issues with the antenna tuner memory then changing antennas, but lesson learned from that experience.  In this case I turned off the ATU off via long press of the ATU button for the tests.  Of course now that I make the post  it is humming along perfectly into ANT2 when a dummy load is hooked up.

Two things...

One, the Community is not an official FlexRadio tech support forum.  It is primarily for users to interact with other users to ask questions that would normally be out of scope such issues related to third-party hardware and software integration issues. We will occasionally come on the Community and answer support related questions when they are of a global nature and correct any incorrect information.  The HelpDesk is for one-on-one customer support.

Second, you should always open a HelpDesk support ticket for a possible hardware issue.  These type issues are not addressed via the Community.
