DX+ and EQ?

I have been working with the DX settings, I notice on DX+ I have to turn off the EQ to make it clean sounding. When EQ is turned on it distorts.

Also, if I move my EQ low cut to say, 250 it cleans up as well.

At DX normal with EQ on, it sounds good,,,DX it sounds a little distorted, DX+ lots of distortion.

The compression meter shows a big change after the EQ is turned off. They must be linked?

That seems a little "hot" on the low end for a male voice.

If certain frequencies are boosted too much, then they will be overemphasized by when acted upon by CESSB.  And it looks like this is for an ESSB setup where DX+ should not be used.

An EQ is best used for cutting overbearing frequencies than boosting content.

Tim, what a education, I re did my EQ scheme. I took away instead of adding, wow...
I just had a check with another Flex owner and he recorded me on all Proc settings and I was smooth on all of them. The only thing is I have to drive the Flex power harder to get the same power from the amp,,because the amplitude from the EQ is lower,,,but, what a sound. And I ended up with the same audio as before except much cleaner. Good Highs, good low end and great mids.
Thanks Tim...
