Hi, I see that the power foldback issue has been addressed in SSDR v1.8.4 and the original posts are closed. As a prospective purchaser, I am interested to know if any of the users reporting this problem have installed v1.8.4. If so, has the transient response fix worked for you?

Paul,  I was one of the many that reported the initial issue to Flex.  I was forced to go back to v1.7 until a suitable solution was available.   Let me report that the V1.8.4 seems to have fixed that issue.  Ihave downloaded it and so far on all bands and even max power I do not see the issue.  In my mind I believe it has been fixed.

Paul, I was one of the original people to report the problem with my ALS-600. I was also asked by Flex to test a preliminary version of the fix. Flex engineers were VERY responsive with this fix. Yes, it works well for me. I see none of my reported rollback at full drive power.

Many thanks Richard & Dave. Glad the SSDR revision worked for you. It was an interesting problem and it's encouraging to hear about your positive experience with FRS whilst working toward a solution. Cheers.
