Does the 6000 Flex have a signal generator, like is in the PSDR?

Bill, there is no "signal generator" function per se and no special menu. You just select the transverter output as your TX output (this disables the PA in the rig) and put the rig into transmit using the TUNE button to generate the signal. Select the desired frequency as you normally would and set the tune power level to the output level you desire. That's the only way I am aware of to use the Flex as a low-level signal generator. Here's a shot of the transverter output feeding my 'scope through a 20 dB attenuator:

If that's not to your liking, or you were expecting something different, then perhaps, as you said, someone at Flex can steer you in the right direction. That's all I've got.
