Disconnect recovery

For the most part, remote over wireless N has been working well. Occasionally, I'll have a radio disconnect during a QSO. Last night while in a JT65 contact I had a disconnect and once the radio was disconnected the JT65 serial link to the flex crashed. Upon restarting SSDR the radio shows red busy in the radio chooser. Until that disconnect the remote quality bars were full green. Maybe a spike in latency? Power off and on the radio and then I'm able to start SSDR but QSO is done by this time. I remember when PowerSDR would not recover from FireWire issues automatically and then finally with a new release the radio was able to recover on its own. I'd like to see some sort of retry logic hat would allow the radio and SSDR to re establish a connection automatically. Having the RX freeze momentarily would be better than a complete disconnect. Running 6500, SSDR 1.4.3 Mac book pro with 8gb ram windows 8.1 boot camp (not using virtualization). I'm about 15 meters from the access point. I don't doubt I will have the occasional long DPC or network blip, would just like to see a better user experience without the radio, SSDR, and CAT restart needed, especially during a contact. 73 Larry HB9EYQ
