Other than CW Skimmer, has anyone found a good digital mode program that makes use of I/Q streams?

You can record and playback I/Q streams through HDSDR

Ooh! Neat idea! Never thought about that one.... HDSDR. I use it all the time for a parallel Funcube Dongle that gives me my most elaborate and elegant pan fall displays for my Icom rigs. It is also much better (more detail) than the PSDR for the Flex-1500. And I have used it to record FMT runs for later replay and analysis. But never thought about pumping another I&Q stream through it.

Thanks for that tip!

How do you hook up HDSDR to a 6300?

Set the sound card to the DAX IQ RX 1

And turn on the IQ stream and set the LO frequency to match the frequency listed in the DAX panel.

robert, over here it seems like the DAX IQ stream automatically picks the center freq. of the current slice receiver, maybe? fiddled with it a bit, myself, but can't say i'm good at it, HA!  73, w5xz

Yes, so if you move the panadapter then you will need to update the LO frequency in HDSDR. It would be nice if HDSDR used the API interface to keep this updated.

Robert, what ExtIO file are you using for HDSDR? Hamlib? Could you please comment on your hamlib settings and/or post a screenshot?

I loaded the one for the RTLSDR dongle, but it is not required for using the DAX IQ stream.

That's pretty neat with HDSDR... but I'm trying it out on a Flex-1500 through VAC. It works *almost* perfectly. The perfectly is AM, USB, and LSB modes. CW modes are another matter...

I'll be danged if I can figure out a way to make it behave properly in CW mode. Looks like PSDR insists on sending out its Carrier center frequency, not its LO frequency, and also shifts the actual passband without saying anything. So, while things are centered up on the Flex, the actual IF I&Q are shifted by the CW tone amount on the HDSDR waterfall.

Has anyone successfully set up HDSDR to work properly with PSDR?
