DEXP in remote mode?

DEXP is grayed out when in remote mode.  When testing remote TX audio, I get substantial background noise and really need DEXP.  Is this just a limitation of remote audio?  Or am I doing something wrong?

Hi William. I have the same visual display and spent days trying to eliminate it looking for a source. I finally last evening just got on 75 meters with a friend and although it is still there he said there was no noise being transmitted in my audio. he said I sounded like me and great audio. but it is disturbing to see it when you click the mox button. it sure looks like you are transmitting noise. I would try it with someone and see if you have the same experience. Surely, the DEXP eliminated this on non remote mode.

I found a solution that works very well, but it uses VB-Cable which adds in latency.  Would not work for contesting.  But may be a solution for ragchewing.

I tested this transmitting into a dummy load and it works very similar to DEXP.  I have not had a chance to use it on the air.  But when I do I will report back.

This really needs to be added to SmartSDR as I dont see virtual audio cables as a perm solution.  It adds in a substantial delay.

On my panadapter, when i key with mox, I see something seemlier  to an AM carrier that pops up! I thought I was transmitting that. I can vary it up and down. My friend said it is not being ttansmitted I hope so!

Its 100% being transmitted.  I hear it on my other radio as soon as I key up.  Its many db down but its transmitting none the less.  The other OP just may not hear it.

well, it sure causes concern when you see it and can't get rid of it!
