I upgraded to SmartSDR v2.5.1 and need a version of DDutil that will work. I've read that there is a Beta version of DDutil in the wild, but have not been been able to locate a download link. Can anyone help me out? Please no "just Google it" comments.

Actually, the new/current  Beta versions are part of the DDUtil V4.x.x series.
The V4 discussions are taking place in the DDUtil Yahoo Group which you can sign up for and join here, https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/DDUtil/info

A recent post to the group from the author, Steve Nance, K5FR, provided this download link for one of the beta's http://www.k5fr.com/binary/DDUtil40109_Setup.zip. It's a beta so it's incomplete, ie. still a work in progress, and will not support muti-flex yet. So join the group and get the info on the next releases there.

Thanks for the help!  I just need DDutil to control band switching for
my Elecraft KPA500 amp and my KAT500 tuner.

You do not need DDUTIL just for this, I do this directly with my Flex and KPA500/KAT500 by plugging in the USB cables directly to the 6600M.

“SmartSDR USB Cable Interface Guide” Is where you find the info you need to hook up the KAT500 /KPA500 .

As Pat said just read the guide, it's pretty simple and slick. But essentially you are plugging the USB cables for both the KPA and KAT into the back of the Flex.

The DDutil beta download works fine, so it saves me from spending money on the USB to DB9 adapter.  Thanks again for the link.

I used to be able to open SSDR, then open DDUtil and Hamradio deluxe and HRD would follow the radio using DDUtil.  I could then shutdown SSDR (but leave DDUtil running) and I could then open up other flex software (Maestro, iOS, etc) and HRD would still follow the radio.  If I was using the Maestro remotely, I would use Teamviewer on my laptop to connect to my computer in the shack that was running HRD.  It doesn't seem that HRD will follow the frequency anymore after SSDR is closed even though DDUtil is running.  I know this is Beta software and maybe will be addressed at a later date but I really miss that functionality.

I have a similar issue with the new beta version when using the Maestro where the frequency shown on HRD will follow the Maestro's tuning except I get the multi-toned disconnect sound and a popup error each time I click a DXcluster station or move the Maestro's tuning dial. The error message says "CAT server send error", yet the tuning stays synchronized.  .

I am sure that Steve Nance is fine tuning the program for the full release.

    Update,
Steve Nance was kind enough to email me a fix for the "CAT Server Send Error".  Problem was because I did not realize that port 5002 had to be connected, I needed to have SmartSDR CAT opened on the computer running DDUTIL and HRD with the drop-down selection menu in the CAT application assigned to Maestro.
