Does DDUtil still work correctly with SmartSDR V3.0.19 or are changes and updates to DDUtil needed.  I show the current release of DDUtil to be

DDUtil for me didn't work well with V3, although it might for a simple application. DDUtil seemed to work fine with basic CAT repeating-- e.g. frequency passing to the amp. But some of the device specific tools aren't working. Example-- I have a Steppir beam that DDUtil feeds frequency data for tuning and basic control commands. Plus DDUtil reads Steppir controller status commands such as "antenna moving-- inhibit transmit" and "antenna stopped moving-- OK to transmit" and converts/sends that to SmartSDR. Worked from PowerSDR V1.8 through SmartSDR 2.4.9 but breaks with V3.  Existing DDUtil issues the "inhibit transmit" fine, but because SmartSDR V3 makes the "transmit inhibit/enable" band specific instead of global, the "transmit enable" command no longer functions. Thus if you change bands, requiring the steppir to change antenna element lengths, SmartSDR V3 transmit is disabled and DDUtil is unable to re-enable it. Mr. Nance will need to find out what the new SmartSDR commands are and implement a fix. I also experienced other strange behavior such as having the MOX and VOX engaged.  I had to revert to SmartSDR 2.4.9 as DDUtil is integral to my setup (mostly remote operation).

It is my understanding that the changes Flex made to their API under V3 will require DDUtil to be updated if possible??  To date that has not happened.  IOW DDUtil does not work with V3.  Like others I have reverted back to V2 for now.

There is a new release of DDUTIL for V3 SSDR currently being developed and in testing.

I will not speculate when Steve K5FR will release it but I would suspect that the wait will not be very long.

He is usually very good and fast. We are lucky to have the application.
