dax volume

I don't know if this is an idea or a bug. :) With the DAX control panel visible and the slice volume control if you adjust the rx level using the dax CP you can see the volume slider move on the slice. But it doesn't work the other way around. Adjusting the slice volume does not adjust the dax slider. It would be great if the slice vol control would adjust the DAX level when a DAX slice is selected. Or would it? :) BTW....Thanks Tim for pointing out the need to close the CP to delete old files. So far with those old DAX files gone it has been noticeably more stable. 73 Greg AB7R

Greg, this is by design. The slice volume control is for adjusting the audio volume and not the digital level. It is important to be able to set the DAX level for the correct digital drive and then be able to set the monitor audio independently. The DAX level should be set and forget so that you don't accidentally overdrive the input of the application.

Good morning and Thanks Gerald. I understand and appreciate the info. I thought that was supposed to happen but it did not make sense to me that lowering the slider in the DAX CP would then at the same time lower the volume slider in the slice control. Is that supposed to be happening? Tnx Greg
