I'm getting an error for the DAX driver not sure what I've done or if I should just continue to ignore the message. I am setting up my 6600 for NAQP rtty. The radio seems to transmit and receive ok. using 2.3.9. I've uninstalled and reinstalled but I continue to get the error box.

So those devices named using "IQ" are the ones needed and the rest should be deleted?

Guess I'm not clear after reading the above what I am supposed to keep and what is to be deleted/uninstalled.

Ok, I uninstalled all of the flex programs, checked the device manager and all flex stuff was gone, restarted the computer and reinstalled. I now have Flex devices in device manager under sound. I booted the radio and Maestro and there is no error box. I assume I've fixed the problem and I am good to go

Possibly, you do have it fixed then.

If it works, and doesn't popup any errors, then your probably ok and done.

When you look in Device Manager with Show Hidden enabled does you list of DAX Devices Exactly match the first picture from that thread?

Reposted picture.

the Device Names, and the Order of the device names, matters.

There will be 28 total Dax devices after a correct install. any that don't match that image should be renamed, not deleted, or uninstalled.

If you see any Greyed out, duplicates listed you have a different issue, Ghosted DAX devices that will need to be cleaned up, prior to any reinstall of any of the DAX devices.

It's also possible that you might need to follow this guide ...

https://helpdesk.flexradio.com/hc/en-us/articles/204975589-How-to-do-a-Complete-uninstall-of-SmartSDR-for-Windows-from-your-PC

First, in order to remove any ghosted DAX devices.

Then reinstall SmartSDR, and then follow the instructions Neal provided in ...

https://community.flexradio.com/flexradio/topics/most-common-fix-for-dax-driver-errors-in-windows-spring-update-1803-you-can-do-this

The Ghosts have to be removed before the SmartSDR installer is run.
