CWX Even With Breakin Off?

Setting up some F-key messages on CWX and realized I was transmitting. Breakin doesn't affect CWX like it does with external keys. Is this expected behavior?

Hi Kevin,
I had the same question a few years ago when CWX was introduced.

https://community.flexradio.com/flexradio/topics/v_1_3_cwx_praise_and_observation_and_a_question

It may not be expected but is intended.  BTW, One way to setup/test the Fkeys is to turn the power down to zero.

Thanks Al. Looks like I'm in good company. Caught me by surprise when I caught the RF Power scale popping up out of the corner of my eye. QRP this evening (Fox Hunt!) so nearly missed it.

I would agree with the other comments. Breakin turns the 3 keys I have plugged in on and off, it should really be a breakin for CWX also.

Zero power for testing. Then try to remember to turn it back up again. :)

I hate this "feature". If I turn Break-in off, I expect that the radio will NOT transmit, regardless of the keying source. Key the monitor, yes, but not the radio. I frequently want to hear how a programmed message sounds (especially when chaining messages) without transmitting. Having to set power to zero instead of clicking on the Break-in button is a total nuisance.
