CW with WinWarbler and Fldigi

I've read though some earlier posts and I'm a little confused. I can send CW directly from WinWarbler using keyboard or macros. The radio mode shows CW so I'm sure I'm not just modulating a carrier with AF. This is no surprise, right? In an earlier (closed) post it says WinWarbler uses the serial port for CW which is not supported by the radio (Flex-6500 in my case). In the CW tab I have Xcvr Ctrl App selected for keying. I assume that means the Commander module.

My real question is... can I not do the same thing with fldigi somehow? I use fldigi with DXLabs by using the fldigi-dxlabs bridge software. No matter what I try I cannot get fldigi to send CW.

Fldigi will only send sound card CW, if you want to send real CW (with your Flex in CW mode) you will need to use 6500 as normal for CW or configured for a Flex in Winwarbler.
