CW Skimmer won't work for me

I have set up CW Skimmer and SDR-Bridge on my 6300 as shown in previous posts and I can't get it to work.  I'm sure the problem lies somewhere between the chair and the computer -- however, I'd really appreciate some help.  If someone could call me and walk me through the set-up, I'd be most appreciative.  My cell phone number is: 614-633-9501.  Please call between 6:00 and 22:00 Eastern time.
Thanks for any help given.

Some progress.  I've got the skimmer decoding but it doesn't follow the radio's frequency.  I was listening on 80m and the skimmer is stuck on 40m.

Alex, thanks for the reply.  I used your post to set up my computer but it still won't track my radio.  It will decode but it is stuck on 40m and won't change.
Does SmartSDR CAT have special settings I need to change???

Check your device manager for port conflicts and try closing SmartCAT all together and then start the bridge program and cw skimmer. There seem to be some issues with the beta version regarding SmartCAT

Rick,  That works up to a point.  I was on 20m.  After I closed SmartCAT, I restarted the bridge program and cw skimmer.  I was able to change frequency between the programs UNTIL I changed bands on the radio.  The skimmer then stuck at 13999 and I couldn't do ANYTHING with it.
I did discover that if I input the frequency into the flag, I can change bands THAT way and it works.  Any idea of when the SmartCAT problem will be resolved???  I use it to permit HRD logbook to interface with the radio.

Maybe it does have something to do with the BETA. I experienced some weirdness not too long after I installed it. I managed to work around the problem. But, only time will tell if my workarounds will continue to work I guess. I don't remember folks having these issues with the v1.9.13 release. Rolling back to it might get CWskimmer working for you so that you can use it, while we all wait for the next Non-BETA, release.

I wish I knew. The activation of the external USB ports on back of 6000 series radios for gear control I'm told is fabulous but they are aware of some quirky CAT issues. Not sure when the public version will come out to replace the beta. Good luck!

My issues, which mirrored the original problem as described, ended up being corrupted profiles between the two Bands I was trying to swap between.  Had to rebuild both the 160M cw and 40M cw profiles to straighten out the Skimmer.  [don't know, am just the messenger]    Skimmer has been working perfectly ever since.  All this was while on the latest Beta version.

It would be nice to have some of these things integrated into SS Dr so we wouldn't have to mess around with it so much

Here is where I stand right now.  If I disable SmartCAT and restart SmartSDR, CW Skimmer works just fine.  I can then restart SmartCAT and get HRD Logbook to work.  One major caveat -- to change bands/frequency  I MUST type the desired frequency into the flag.  If I try to change by picking a different profile CW Skimmer stops working.  I can live with this until the next fix comes out.
I want to thank everyone who responded.

You have come to the conclusion SSDR has a bug.  This is unlikely as Bridge/skimmer works for most of the rest of us.  So the most likely is you have some corrupted config files and or profiles in your specific installation.  The app data file for bridge resides in C:/users/(user name)/AppData/W2RF  (user name) refers to your particular user name.  Drill down to the config file under W2RF and delete it, and restart SDR Bridge and go back through the configuration.

If that doesn't work you might try a factory reset which will clean out the profile in SSDR  you can save the profile prior to reset.  Make sure skimmer is set up correctly with "softrock"  the correct CW pitch and sampling rate that MATCHES DAX's sampling rate  make sure telnet is set to 7310 and audio is set to WDM and DAX IQ RX1 on signal I/O device

Delete any orphan CAT ports from device manager and SmartCAT.
