Comparing a local and remote antenna with Smart SDR?

Hi,
I would like to use SmartSDR in combination with SmartLink to compare 2 80 m antennas. One is local, on is at another ham. Both radios are 6600s. Again, this is mostly for antenna testing (and not for contesting, as this would be against the rules).

I know I can connect via SmartLink. However, is there a way to listen to both signals at the same time (left ear location 1, right ear location 2)?  Or can I launch two instances of SmartSDR on the same radio?

    Andy,

I don't know of a way to do this with a single computer/SSDR instance.

It would be easy with a second computer setup with SSDR.  But I feel you might have big latency differences so listening to them at the exact same time might yield strange results.

    Hi Andy

You can run 2 copies of SmartSDR at the same time, but they have to be different versions.  So, for your test, you might have to downgrade 1 radio while you run the test.
