I have submitted a ticket on this but beginning to think that my problem might be unique. My 6500 has been working with no problem with the latest version of software with DAX. When I updated win8 to 8.1 DAX worked for 2 days and then failed. The 6500 is working OK but there is no DAX. Repeated attempts at uninstalling, re-booting and re-installing have not worked. Here is the lengthy event viewer report: Log Name: Application Source: Application Error Date: 1/19/2014 6:52:05 PM Event ID: 1000 Task Category: (100) Level: Error Keywords: Classic User: N/A Computer: OFFICEDELL Description: Faulting application name: DAXWPF.exe, version: 1.0.2.22, time stamp: 0x52b4eafc Faulting module name: unknown, version: 0.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x00000000 Exception code: 0xc0000005 Fault offset: 0x0bec20cd Faulting process id: 0x13c0 Faulting application start time: 0x01cf15714c299d38 Faulting application path: C:Program FilesFlexRadio SystemsSmartSDR Beta_v1.0.24DAXDAXWPF.exe Faulting module path: unknown Report Id: b282049b-8164-11e3-bf97-f4b7e20fbee0 Faulting package full name: Faulting package-relative application ID: Event Xml: 1000 2 100 0x80000000000000 636563 Application OFFICEDELL DAXWPF.exe1.0.2.2252b4eafcunknown0.0.0.000000000c00000050bec20cd13c001cf15714c299d38C:Program FilesFlexRadio SystemsSmartSDR Beta_v1.0.24DAXDAXWPF.exeunknownb282049b-8164-11e3-bf97-f4b7e20fbee0 Log Name: Application Source: .NET Runtime Date: 1/19/2014 6:52:05 PM Event ID: 1026 Task Category: None Level: Error Keywords: Classic User: N/A Computer: OFFICEDELL Description: Application: DAXWPF.exe Framework Version: v4.0.30319 Description: The process was terminated due to an unhandled exception. Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
