Cannot activate the ATU remotely via CAT or any other means

When operating from a remote location I am unable  to trigger the ATU to tune the Flex 6xxx transceiver.

Consider my case where I have an all band antenna that needs to be tuned when switching from band-to-band.  I am successfully working into my F6700 and expect to operate from Mexico on an upcoming trip...but, right now cannot trigger the ATU by a CAT command.  What can I do to trigger the ATU?

I just tried activating ATU remotely on my 6700 using VNCviewer. It works fine here.

Dave, on my remote I do not see the panadapter/console display. The remote uses CAT commands for all functions....not nearly as nice as looking at the panadapter screen. Just can't seem to trigger the ATU.

I have the remotehams.com server installed on the PC that is controlling my F6700.  I connect into the server from a remote location using a laptop with remotehams.com client running on the laptop.

There is another ham in our area (about 15miles away) who is using my station for testing of the remote software.  He also uses the remotehams.com client to connect to my F6700.

The remotehams software uses CAT control to control the radio.  I get a frequency indication at the remote site; but, do not get the panadapter display.

Since I cannot find a CAT command to activate the ATU, we are limited to a small range of frequencies on 20 meters.

If you, or anyone else,  would like to test it, send me an email to george@gloria.us and I will email you the info.
