Can I setup smartlink without a ptt

Can I setup smartlink without a ptt? i'm trying to register smartlink when hit register it asking me to press the ptt but i just use the mox  button or vox. is the anyway round this or have i got make up a wired ptt to register?

    No.  You must have physical access to the radio to register it to an account.  Pressing a hardware PTT or taping the paddles will suffice for the registration process.  This is a security measure to prevent your radio from being hijacked.

    You can also use your CW key.

    Front mic PTT, rear RCA PTT, accessory connector PTT, or CW key. Dave wo2x

    This is not working for me using SmartSDR on Mac. As you can see in the screenshots above, I click Register, then key up the mic. I get "Waiting on SmartLink Confirmation..." then after a while, the following window appears with Registered set to "No."

    What gives?

    Just to confirm, is the MIC physically plugged into the radio? Or a CW Key?

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
