Buzzing noise, jumping panadapter, & horizontyal lines in waterfall after PEN update.

Received my FLEX-6700 back after the PEN upgrade.  Started SmartSDR v1.3.8 & it stated that an update was required.  Did the upgrade. 

There is a intermittent buzzing noise that coincides with a jump of +10-20 dB in the panadapter and horizontal lines in the waterfall.

Help!  I am supposed to operate as W1AW/9 starting Tuesday.

    v1.3.8.  But, problem may be external to radio.  After I posted, I thought to switch to a dummy load & it is normal on dummy load.  I just have never heard this type of noise across all bands before.

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
