On 6 hour layover at airport and killing time listening to Winter Field Day on my IPad.
Nice to enjoy the hobbie from almost anywhere.

I use the Bluetooth tuning knob as a VFO tuning knob
with built in PTT that Markus recommends for the iPhone/iPad Using SmartSDR iOS from Flex
Works great
The unit is the Griffin PowerMate on EBay
It a Silver tuning Knob runs via Bluetooth
With my FlexRadio Remote !!!

Hi
All the options / controls utilise the iPads touch screen you just tap where you want to listen or or drag the bar to the correct frequency.
It's just the same as smartsdr but touch instead of a mouse

Internal and External mikes work

Lately I have been using Apple Airpods - OK but not superb
But you need a quiet room for the internal mike.

Also Apple Earbuds - very good.

Logitech Bluetooth headsets... superb reports

My most exotic QSO so far has been on the Eurostar train 150' below the Channel.
Also running down the beach being chased by cops on SV/A

You can also use a "Flic" external bluetooth button for PTT..

I have an adapter for my heil proset but didn’t have with me. The internal mic is way To sensitive with all the background noise to operate. You can play around with the settings but as Howard said a very quite room is required. An easy test is just tap on the shack desk and that sound will be transmitted right along with my audio. Anyway tried a Yamaha CM-500 but got much better results with the Heil Proset. For either my PC or IPad when running remote.
