Hello all Flex users. I have a Flex 6300. I was trying to find the wiring diagram for the Flex on the USB connector, but didn't have any success with it.I have from Mouser the following to built a cable so I can communicate with my flex and the AS-419 Bandpasser II.
I have the following:
DE-9 (DB-9) Male Plug to Terminal Block Breakout
USB Cables / IEEE 1394 Cables USB TO HS SPI/I2C/ JTAG Conv 5V 0.5M
All I need now is what color wire to connect to the Terminal Block numbers.
Any and all that know how to do this please send a wiring drawing here. Love to get the BandpasserII to follow the Flex on band changes during contesting.
Thx

It is a bit unclear on what you are trying to do.
The USB connector is a computer style of USB port. It it designed to work with a RS232 cable or a Parallel Cable.
Here is the document. https://www.flexradio.com/downloads/usb-cable-interface-guide-pdf/
RS232: https://shop.flexradio.com/usb-to-serial-adapter-for-the-flex-6000-series/
Parallel for Bit Mapping or BCD: https://shop.flexradio.com/usb-to-parallel-adapter-for-the-flex-6000-series/
I hope that helps.

Hi Mike. I have the USB to Parallel adapter for the FLEX-6000 series and have tried the colored wire pin mapping in the Flex USB guide and it doesn't work. Has there been an update, or, has anyone experienced success with a different mapping?0

There have been no changes as this would impact previous installations.
What I would do is measure the levels with a voltmeter and see if they compare with what your device wants. This would confirm what you need to know.
