Audio Recording Software Recommendation

I've been asked to record a few nets that could go for 2-3 hours. I'm wondering what audio recording software will interface with DAX, and which software some of you are using. Ideally I'd like to record in MP3, and use a sampling rate less than 128K which should decrease the overall file size.

Ok. You can choose mono 8000 and it will keep the size down. Then when done export to MP3.

I have to whole heartidly agree, Audacity is the way to go, you can pick your sample rate, stereo or mono, save in many formats, and the feast de resistaunce, it's free! And you will/can pick any sound source you have available, including Dax sources, and Playback through the Dax Tx. for things like "Speed CQing' contests etc.
