"Software Defined Radio: For Amateur Radio Operators and Shortwave Listeners" by Andrew Barron ZL3DW" (Nov 2016)

Especially enjoyed the author's comment about Flex: "In fact, they are at the pinnacle of SDR design".

The book is 500 pages of in-depth, but introductory level material (if that isn't too much of a contradition!). By no means a substitute for the advanced knowledge available on this forum, but seems useful as an organized starting point. Because it names names it seems quite useful to SDR buyers and to those keeping up with what the competition is doing.
