Amplifier PTT ports selection

I have an amplifier connected to one coax output from the 6700 , and another amplifier from the other output, the amps feed different antennas.
On the PTT outputs to control the operation of the amplifiers, I have TX1 to one amp. and TX2 the other.
How do the ptt outputs know which amp to operate? or are they controlled by the selection of ANT 1 and/or ANT 2?
On testing it looks like this is correct, but I would like to be sure.

Thanks all

Hi Ross,

You have to set up TX profiles, Say you have an HF amp, set up all your parameters in the software and then go to the menu item Settings>Radio Setup select the transmit tab and enable RCA Tx1: then disable the remaining RCA's. Once you have done this close the setup window and go to the File menu again but this time select Profiles>Save Transmit Profile, this will bring up another small window called the profile manager, select the transmit tab and type a name for your profile, say "HF" then click the save button.

Now carry out the same procedure for your second amp, say for example a 6 Meter amp, do exactly the same as above but select RCA Tx2: in setup and 0name the profile "6 Mtrs".

When you work HF you select the HF profile in the TX drop down menu and this will enable your HF amp TX Rca 1 line and when you work 6 Mtrs you select the "6 Mtrs" drop down menu and this will activate TX Rca 2 etc etc you can set up profiles for all your different modes. I use a number of different transverters and amps for HF and VHF and key everything from the 6500 I have profiles set up for HF, 6, 4 and 2 Mtrs all using different keying lines, it saves a lot of time.

Hope this helps.
