I am considering the purchase of an Ameritron als 606.
I have not been able to find a specific band data cable to connect the als 606 to the 6300.  The 606 has auto band switching lbuilt in.
Has anyone had experience with this?
Thanks

Ameritron in the ?wisdom did put in a BCD and a Serial interface but they failed to put the I/O on the correct pin out on the connector. so you have to build a cable adapter.
The connections are the same for the ALS1306 I believe which I interfaced a year and half ago, which I put on the here.
I built both a USB FTDI Serial Cable and a USB BCD cable and both worked fine plugged directly into the FLEX's USB ports.
There is also the FLEX USB Interface guide that people have put interfacing 3rd party equipment.

I seem to recall reading about an FTDI null modem USB adapter.  I think it was in regard to ALS 600.
