ALC METER ?

After running flex radio for years I get a 6300 . Am I missing some thing cant find ALC meter . If  was so important on 1000 1500 3000 and 5000 Yaesu Kenwood Icom to kept the ALC low or in the case of the flex  zero or below . . So I guest I just can run the radio in digital mode and don't worry about ALC

Just keep the level meter on the SmartSDR console out of the red.  I usually run it so it peaks between -10 and -5 dB.

I miss the ALC meter too, Jim, for exactly the same reason.

When you're running digimodes, you want to maximize your power out, but at the same time you don't want ALC distorting your waveform. Not having an ALC meter to work with is tricky, and I'm still trying to adjust.
